One of the very first things I did to kick off my business in Northwest Arkansas was to organize a styled bridal shoot - to connect with area vendors and get my creative juices flowing! I made some amazing new friends, learned a lot, and I think all of our hard work paid off!
My friend Remington, who is also my kids' amazing babysitter and an all-around fun, sweet, super wonderful person- agreed to model for us and pretty much killed the game! I didn't mention she's gorgeous but you didn't need me to tell you that!
This was actually pretty fun because Remington is a tomboy, and I've never seen her wear a dress until this shoot. She even told me her college roommates - who are apparently pretty adept at selfies and modeling the latest Insta fashions - had some good laughs at the idea of her modeling. But it turns out they are really proud of her! Me too.
The shoot was at Osage House in Cave Springs, AR. The property is really vast and gorgeous with rolling hills, trees, and big skies. I just love it. We shot about an hour or so before sunset.
Remington wore a romantic, flowy gown by designer Truvelle, from local shop Joon Bridal. It was so easy for her to move in so I think it was a perfect option for a girl who loves the outdoors or who may just want to be able to move freely on her wedding day.
At first, Remington wasn't sure how comfortable she'd be in front of the camera. I just told her to relax, have fun, be herself, and keep moving! The secret to looking natural on camera!
So there it is! Our romantic outdoor bridal shoot!
